Rohit Sharma – Player Profile

Rohit Sharma is a modern-day great of Indian cricket, with an aggressive batting style that is a perfect match for One Day Cricket. Among India batters, only Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar have more centuries than Rohit. He has also been able to adapt his attacking batting to Test cricket and is currently India’s skipper as well as opener.

The legacy extends further than international cricket, becoming part of the furniture in the Mumbai Indians side, captaining the side from 2013 onwards and leading them to five Indian Premier League titles, the joint-highest in the tournament’s history.

In 2022, Sharma took over as captain of the Indian men’s Test side, going hand in hand with his role as white-ball captain, a position he permanently took over from Virat Kohli last year.
