Wisden are delighted to announce that we have partnered with NatWest to help promote and support grassroots cricket in 2020. Sign your club up to Natwest CricketForce today.
Over the past 19 years, NatWest CricketForce has helped sustain club cricket communities by supporting clubs and local volunteers to spend one weekend each year preparing their facilities for the new season.
Launched in 2002 by chief instigator Dave Leighton – then ECB national club programmes manager – and former England captain Mike Gatting, thousands of clubs now register for CricketForce.
A couple of showcase clubs are selected each year to benefit from additional assistance from ECB officials and a big-name player or two. Last year Uttoxeter CC and Byfleet CC got the full treatment, with England stars Chris Woakes, Jason Roy and Danni Wyatt lending a hand. Local NatWest staff also helped out at clubs across the country.
CricketForce will take place on the weekend of March 27-29 to help strengthen and future-proof club cricket on and off the field, which continue to provide a pre-season focal point, providing local cricket clubs with tools, knowledge and expertise. All registered clubs will receive a specialist first aid kit and be entered into a prize draw to win club equipment.
NatWest is proud partner of England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and the charity Chance to Shine, supporting cricket at all levels for almost 40 years
