My sister’s accident which left her paralysed and being dropped after my last Test at Headingley

What is your idea of happiness?

Good friends and family, being near the beach and the comforts of home

What’s your ideal sandwich?

Goat’s cheese, Parma ham, hummus and figs

Which living person do you most admire and why?

My mum and dad for what they have endured

What has been your biggest disappointment?

Being dropped days before the Ashes

If you were an animal, what would you be?

A lion as I would sleep all day, chill and be safe in the knowledge that I was the king and then… Bang! I would ruthlessly attack my prey
