Reece Topley leaves Hampshire

by Wisden Staff 2 minute read

Reece Topley has left Hampshire after an injury-hit three-year spell at the club.

The 24-year-old last featured for Hampshire in the Royal London One-Day Cup semi-final against Yorkshire in June and played for England Lions in the same month. He underwent surgery on a back stress fracture in July.

In all he featured 21 times for the club.

The former Essex left-arm seamer has played 10 ODIs and six T20Is for England, most recently in March 2016.

Hampshire director of cricket Giles White said: “Mid-way through the 2018 season Reece made it apparent that he wanted to pursue his career elsewhere – we wish him well.”
