Sam Billings offers his help during Coronavirus outbreak

by Wisden Staff 2 minute read

Kent captain and England batsman Sam Billings has taken to Twitter to offer his help around Canterbury during the Coronavirus pandemic.

With social distancing encouraged by the British government, and some people, particularly the elderly or immunocompromised, opting to self-isolate as much as possible, Billings has offered his services in going shopping for those who would otherwise have to go without or put themselves at risk.

Though England’s tour of Sri Lanka was called off due to Coronavirus concerns, the county season is not yet postponed. However, it is feared that the entire English cricketing summer could be wiped out by the impact of the illness.
