Sri Lanka have called up 21-year-old off-spinner Nishan Peiris as a replacement for Akila Dananjaya while the latter undergoes assessment of a suspect bowling action.

Peiris would be making his Test debut if selected on Friday, having played in both Sri Lanka Board XI warm-up games against England earlier in the tour.

Akila, who was reported for a suspect action after the first Test in Galle, is heading for Brisbane, where his assessment at the National Cricket Centre will being on the same day as the third Test in Colombo.
