Kohli, Rohit set for return to international action?
Having won the Asia Cup 2025 last Sunday, India kicked off a two-Test home series against West Indies earlier this week. The Test series is set to conclude on October 14, after the second Test in Ahmedabad.
The Men in Blue then embark on a white-ball tour of Australia, consisting of three ODIs and five T20Is, beginning from October 19. The state of the ODI squad with regards to all-format players remains to be seen, given the short turnaround.

What is expected so far, though, is that India stalwarts Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will return to international action in the ODIs. Both players have retired from T20Is and Tests, but remain active in the 50-over format. Both were integral to India's 2025 Champions Trophy win earlier this year, and form and fitness permitting, could be in the frame for the 2027 World Cup in South Africa.
