Former India Under-19 opener Adarsh Singh hit a blistering hundred in the Men’s U23 State A Trophy Elite quarter-finals at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Uttar Pradesh produced a stunning display in the second quarter-final against Mumbai, posting 453 for 5 in 50 overs. At the forefront of their batting fireworks was Adarsh Singh, who struck a superb unbeaten double hundred.
It was the progression of Adarsh’s innings that stood out. After reaching his first fifty off 67 balls, he accelerated to bring up his hundred off 103 deliveries. He shifted gears further thereafter, needing only 26 more balls to reach his double century. In total, he struck 13 fours and 16 sixes to reach the landmark. Adarsh added one more four and two more sixes before finishing unbeaten on 223 off 138 balls.

Mumbai bowlers Zaid Patankar (2 for 115) and Nikhil Giri (0 for 115 off eight overs) absorbed most of the punishment, while Atharva Bhosale (2 for 40) offered rare control in an otherwise one-sided batting assault.
