Ben Kohler-Cadmore, the brother of Tom Kohler-Cadmore, struck a fine T20I hundred for Germany, making 133* in just 58 balls, as his team posted 308-1 against Austria.
Ben, Tom's elder brother, obtained German citizenship through their mother, Anette, a German national. The 33-year-old made his international debut soon after, featuring in the ICC Men’s Sub-Regional Europe Qualifier, having also appeared for Netherlands A in the lead-up to his maiden game.
Ben has previously played for Worcestershire Second XI, represented Cheshire in Minor Counties cricket, and turned out for the Royal Navy. Since making his debut in 2024, he has made five T20I appearances for Germany, with his most recent outing proving particularly memorable.
Ben Kohler-Cadmore smashes 58-ball T20I hundred
Playing against Austria in what was his first T20I outing since July 2024, Ben opened the innings alongside skipper Musaddiq Ahmed, and what followed was utter carnage. The duo stitched together a 238-run opening stand, the third-highest stand in men’s T20Is, with both players getting their respective hundreds. It is only the fourth time that two batters have made hundreds in the same men’s T20I innings.
Musaddiq eventually fell for a 48-ball 122, but Ben, along with Shahid Afridi, took the score over the 300-run mark for just the fourth time in the format. In the process, Ben also reached his maiden T20I ton, hitting 17 fours and six sixes in his 58-ball knock. In turn, Austria were bowled out for 146, handing Germany a 162-run win. In five games, Ben has made 220 runs at 55 with a strike rate of 186.44, numbers skewed heavily following the hundred.
Tom, on the other hand, is yet to make his international debut, having come close after being called up to England’s limited-overs squad for the Ireland series in 2023. However, he continues to make his mark across various T20 franchise leagues, with appearances spread across the BBL, PSL and the IPL. In 270 T20 matches, he has scored 6,709 runs at 27.95 with one hundred. Tom is currently playing for Somerset in the County Championship.
