Nishan Madushka has been in excellent run of form in domestic cricket, with a fifty and three consecutive tons in his last four outings for Colombo CC.

Madushka's golden run started with an unbeaten 44-ball 55 in Colombo's last group game of the Major Clubs T20 Tournament against Kurunegala YCC on Saturday, September 5, which helped his side finish third in the group and qualify for the quarterfinals.
Just two days later on September 7, Madushka followed the half century with a 132-ball 148 against Sinhalese CC in the semifinal of the Major Clubs Limited Over Tournament, Sri Lanka's premier 50-over competition. But his team lost by just one run (DLS method) in the 49-over, 332-run chase.
He extended his purple patch with an unbeaten 114 off 56 balls, featuring nine fours and eight sixes, in the quarterfinal of the 20-over competition, against Ace CCC on September 9. His fiery knock propelled Colombo to 218, before their bowlers took over to book a semifinal berth with a 64-run win.
The latest entry on his list came in the semifinal of the Major Clubs T20 Tournament, where he smashed an unbeaten 109 off 65, featuring seven fours and six sixes, while chasing 194 against Tamil Union. Madushka wasn't able to take the team through despite his best efforts, including scoring 12 runs in the final over with 13 needed, as the game finished in a tie and a super over ensued.
However, Madushka was dismissed on the first ball of the super over by Binura Fernando, who also sent back Dulnith Sigera on the following delivery to bowl out Colombo for zero. Tamil Union took one delivery to complete their chase and qualify for the final at Colombo's expense. Unfortunately, while all of his three centuries in the run came in knockout games, two of them featured in defeats.
Overall, he finished the T20 tournament with 296 runs in five innings at an average of 148 and a strike-rate of 164.44. In the 50-over competition, Madushka totalled 206 runs in four matches at an average of 51.50.
