164* (65): Hamza Khan smashes highest men's T20I score by Associate player

In the fourth match of Group A at the T20 World Cup Sub Regional Africa Qualifier between Rwanda and Ivory Coast, Rwanda batter Hamza Khan made a 65-ball 164 not out, breaking the record of Spain's Mohammad Ihsan, who had scored 160 (63) against Croatia in December 2025.

With this knock, Hamza now has the highest men's T20I score by a batter from an Associate team, and the second-highest men's T20I score of all time, sitting only behind Aaron Finch's 172 against Zimbabwe.

Hamza's opening partner Didier Ndikiubwimana made 69 off 45 balls to give him good support as Rwanda racked up 288-2 in their 20 overs. They continued their one-sided domination in the second innings as well, bowling Ivory Coast out for a mere 17 in 15.2 overs to win by 271 runs.
