The 2025 Asia Cup starts on September 9 in the UAE: here are all the latest squad updates for each of the eight participating teams.
After months of speculation over whether the 2025 Asia Cup would go ahead or not following political tensions between India and Pakistan, the tournament schedule was officially announced by Mohsin Naqvi, Pakistan Cricket Board and Asian Cricket Council chair, on July 26.
India and Pakistan have been placed in the same group, along with UAE and Oman. Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong make up the other four teams.
Two teams from each group will qualify for the Super Fours, where they will compete in a single round-robin format to decide the two teams which will play the final, on September 28. The qualification for the tournament is as follows: five Full Member teams of the ACC selected, with three others qualifying from the 2024 ACC Premier Cup (UAE, Oman, Hong Kong).
India are the official hosts of the tournament, but the matches will be played in the UAE. Teams have started naming their preliminary squads for the event.
