The Bangladesh Cricket Board have announced their central contracts list for the men’s senior team for 2026.
The BCB have named 28 players as part of their central contracts list for the ongoing year, with the deals valid from January 1 to December 31, 2026. Seven new players have been included in the list, which is divided into five salary grades, with no player named in the top tier.
Taskin Ahmed was the only player to fall under the A+ category in 2025, but he has now been demoted to grade A. The three Bangladesh men’s captains, Najmul Hossain Shanto (Test), Mehidy Hasan Miraz (ODI) and Litton Das (T20I), all feature in category A as well, with a monthly salary grade of BDT 800,000 (approx. USD 6536).
Mushfiqur Rahim, who was part of grade A in 2025, has now been moved to B following his ODI retirement last year. Meanwhile, Shadman Islam, Rishad Hossain, Mahedi Hasan and Tanzid Hasan Tamim have been promoted from category C to B for 2026, with a monthly salary grade of BDT 600,000 (approx. USD 4902).
Nasum Ahmed and Khaled Ahmed, on the other hand, have been moved from category D to C, with a salary grade of BDT 400,000 (approx. USD 3268), while all seven new entrants, including T20I vice-captain Saif Hassan, feature in category D, with a monthly salary of BDT 200,000 (approx. USD 1634).
Mahmudullah is the only player from the 2025 central contracts list to not feature this time. He opted out of the contract list after February of that year, before announcing his retirement from international cricket in March.
