BPL 2025/26 Format and schedule

The BPL 2025/26 sees the introduction of four new teams in Chattogram Royals, Noakhali Express, Sylhet Titans and Rajshahi Warriors, who join Dhaka Capitals and Rangpur Riders in the fray.

A first BPL auction in 12 years was held for this season in November, while teams also signed players outside of the auction in the lead-up to the tournament.

The tournament will follow a double round-robin format, with each side facing the other twice in the league phase. The top two sides at the end of league games will play Qualifier 1 for a spot in the final, while third and fourth-placed sides will play in the Eliminator.

Thirty-four games will be played over 28 days in three stages. Sylhet will host the first phase of 12 games from December 26 to January 2, before the tournament moves to Chattogram for the next phase of 12 games to be played from January 5 to 12. The remaining 10 games, including the playoffs and the final, will be held in Mirpur.

Eliminator and Qualifier 1 will be played on January 19, Qualifier 2 on January 21, and the final on January 23.
