TNCA President's XI vs Himachal Pradesh
Tamil Nadu were dealt an early blow when skipper Sai Kishore was ruled out of the tournament ahead of the clash. Pradosh Paul led in his absence, leading from the front with a 125-ball 73. TNCA President's XI were struggling at 185-8, but the wicketkeeper Ajitesh G led a strong fightback. He stitched together a 36-run stand with No.10 batter Trilok Nag, who contributed only two, and went to stumps unbeaten on 71*. TNCA Presidents XI were 256-9, with the No.11 batter making four in the unbeaten 35-run stand.

Mumbai vs TNCA XI
The day belonged to Sarfaraz Khan, recently omitted from the England Test series. After his brother Musheer and skipper Ayush Mhatre both fell cheaply, Suved Parkar steadied the innings with a 121-ball 72. Sarfaraz, walking in at No.5 when Mumbai were 98-3, brought up his ton in just 92 balls. He retired hurt on 138, after hitting 10 fours and six sixes in his 114-ball stay on day one.
Aakash Parkar was batting on an unbeaten 67, as Mumbai neared a steep first innings score.

Jammu & Kashmir vs Indian Railways
Jammu and Kashmir rode on a fine century from opener Qamran Iqbal, who anchored the innings with a patient 138 off 249 balls after an early setback. He added 216 runs with Musaif Aijaz, whose fluent 114 kept the scoreboard moving. Late fireworks came from Abdul Samad (37 off 29) and Abid Mushtaq (37 off 18), lifting the total to 393-5 on day one. Skipper Paras Dogra remained unbeaten on a run-a–ball 30, ensuring a strong position heading into the second day.

Chhattisgarh vs Maharashtra
Chhattisgarh were bowled out for 252 on the opening day after opting to bat first in the Buchi Babu Invitational. Sanjeet Desai held the innings together with a gritty 93 at No.4, well supported by Avnish Singh Dhaliwal’s patient 52 and Shubham Agrawal’s 41. But regular strikes from Maharashtra’s spinners - Vicky Ostwal and Hitesh Walunj took three apiece - kept them in check. Ruturaj Gaikwad chipped in with the last wicket, leaving Chhattisgarh dismissed in 89.3 overs.

Baroda vs Odisha
Baroda dominated proceedings on the opening day, finishing at a commanding 381-6 after choosing to bat. Opener Nitya Pandya, who was the highest run-scorer in the Youth Tests against Australia this year, anchored the innings with a patient 102, before Sukirt Pandey and skipper Abhimanyusingh Rajput scored fifties. Useful contributions came from Parth Kohli (48) and Mohit Mongia (22), while Akshay More and Pradip Yadav added unbeaten runs late in the day.

Haryana vs Bengal
Haryana produced a strong batting display on the first day against Bengal, piling up 415-9 after being asked to bat. Himanshu Rana struck a solid 100, while wicketkeeper Yashvardhan Dalal led the charge with a fluent 120. Nishant Sindhu (74) added further stability in the middle order, before late fireworks from Ajay Singh, who smashed 53 off just 28 balls, lifted the total past 400. For Bengal, Nuruddin Mondal picked up three wickets, with Rahul Prasad and Vikas Singh claiming two apiece.

Madhya Pradesh vs Jharkhand
Madhya Pradesh took firm control on the opening day against Jharkhand, who struggled to put up a substantial total, eventually being bowled out for 176 in 45.1 overs. Wicketkeeper Kumar Kushagra top-scored with 56 off 56, but regular strikes from Madhya Pradesh bowlers left the innings in disarray. Rohit Rajawat was the standout with 5-49, well supported by Anvesh Chawla (2-23) and Akshay Sharma (2-20), ensuring Jharkhand never gained momentum.
In reply, MP were 60-0 at stumps, trailing by 116 runs.

Punjab vs Hyderabad
Hyderabad won the toss and opted to field against Punjab on a rain-affected day. Punjab closed Day 1 at 187-4 in 64 overs, with skipper Uday Pratap Saharan anchoring the innings with an unbeaten 63 off 184 balls and Prabhsimran Singh contributing a quickfire 69 off 91. For Hyderabad, Aniketh Reddy claimed 2-47 while Ravi Teja picked up a wicket.
