Litton Das was involved in a confrontation with Pakistan wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan, a few days after taking a jab at him in the ongoing Bangladesh-Pakistan Test series.
Litton continues his jab at Rizwan in the ongoing Test series
Bangladesh won the first Test of the series against Pakistan last week - their third successive win against their rivals. The match also had moments of fire, with Litton having a go at Rizwan when the latter was batting to save the game in the second innings.
The incident repeated itself in the second Test: set a target of 437, Pakistan were 162-5 in 44.3 overs when Rizwan walked out to bat. He played cautiously, bringing up his 14th Test fifty and bringing Pakistan back in the game. A few moments later, Rizwan complained about the sight screen, holding up play, which did not amuse Litton, who asked what he was up to.
Rizwan then pointed to a man standing near the sight screen, to which Litton replied by saying his job was to bat instead.
The jibes continued from Litton, who stated that Rizwan was overacting after reaching his milestone and that he should be deducted "50 paise for his act". On the stump mic, another fielder hinted that he should get a chance in Bollywood [the Hindi film industry], and that he was teaching others "good acting".
Litton also cheekily took a dig again, saying that the half-century had cemented Rizwan’s place in the team and he could indulge in “unnecessary” conversations as a result.
Rizwan was unbeaten on 75 at the end of day’s play, with Pakistan at 316-7. They need another 121 runs in 96 overs for a series-levelling win, with Sajid Khan, who has a high score of 48*, also at the crease.
