Apart from the Ashes, England are also set to host Pakistan and New Zealand men’s teams, while Bangladesh men’s and women’s teams will also tour the UK next year.
England are set for a blockbuster home summer next year as the ECB announced the 2027 schedule on Thursday, July 23. The men’s, women’s and men’s mixed disability teams are set to be in action in the Ashes series against Australia.
The men's series begins on July 18, at Trent Bridge, marking the venue's first Ashes Test since 2015. The series continues at Lord's and Edgbaston, before the caravan moves to the Utilita Bowl Bowl in Southampton, which will host its first-ever Ashes Test. The series will conclude at the Kia Oval, with the final Test starting on July 29.
The women's multi-format Ashes series will begin with the Test match at Headingley, starting from June 24. This will be the first women’s Ashes Test at the venue since 2001. The red-ball match will be followed by three T20Is and three ODIs. They will also host Bangladesh for their first-ever bilateral tour of the UK, featuring three T20Is and as many ODIs in September.
The dates and venues for the Ashes series between the England and Australia's men's mixed disability teams is yet to be confirmed.
England men are also set to host Bangladesh for a one-off Test, before the Ashes. This also marks Bangladesh’s first Test series in England since 2010. Overall, this will also be the first Test between the two teams since England toured Bangladesh in October 2016, when the two-match series ended in a 1-1 draw.
The men’s team will also play 10 ODIs during their home summer, five each against Pakistan and New Zealand, which will play a key role in their preparation for the World Cup in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia next year. England and New Zealand will also face off in three T20Is before the start of the ODI series.
England will also host the World Test Championship final as the marquee clash returns to the Oval, which hosted the 2023 WTC final when Australia defeated India to lift the title. The WTC 2025-27 final will be played from June 9 to 13 next year.
