Shane Warne has been roundly criticised for his assessment of Ishant Sharma as not being in India’s best three Test pacers, given during commentary on day four the third Australia-India Test at the SCG.
Warne was in discussion with Indian commentator Harsha Bhogle, reviewing which players had emerged from the series with their reputations enhanced. The conversation turned to Ishant Sharma, who was ruled out with injury before the series. While Ishant has been one of India’s most successful seamers in recent times, Warne disputed his quality and wondered whether he would merit a spot as India’s third seamer if fit. He cited Umesh Yadav, debutant Navdeep Saini, and the uncapped Kartik Tyagi as quicks who could potentially be ahead of him in the queue.
Since the start of 2018, no Indian bowler, with a cut-off of five wickets, has a better record than Ishant, who has 71 wickets at 19.14 in that time.
Shane Warne doesn't think Ishant is good enough to be in the Indian XI
But Kartik Tyagi is very exciting etc.Do a better job of hiding your RR agenda, maybe? #AUSvIND #AUSvsIND

What is Warne saying!!
"Am not sure Ishant Sharma walks up and takes the third spot"
Has he even seen what Ishant has done over the past 2-3 years?

Shane warne in commentary says India has very good fast bowling options in Test matches but He didn't included Ishant in First three choice option, Seriously warne? Ishant has been India's no.1 bowler from last 3 years. #SydneyTest #AUSvIND
