In the course of her knock, Mandhana crossed the milestone of 10,000 runs in international cricket, becoming just the fourth player to do so in women's cricket, after Mithali Raj, Suzie Bates and Charlotte Edwards. She is also the fastest to the mark, in 281 innings. Raj took 291, Edwards 308 and Bates 314.

Across genders, Mandhana is the 10th-fastest Indian to the mark, beating Rohit Sharma and Dilip Vengsarkar's 290 innings; she is still perhaps naturally disadvantaged by the lack of Test cricket played by India's women's team compared to the men. Only seven of Mandhana's 281 international matches (2.5 per cent) have been Tests, and they have yielded 629 of her 10,053 runs (6.25 per cent).

For context, when India's record-holder Virat Kohli made it to 10,000 international runs, 33 of his 216 internationals (15.3 per cent) were Tests, and his 2,547 runs in the format accounted for over a quarter of his total at the time.
