Bespoke cricket and golf touring company Follow On Tours has launched, with Darren Gough as an ambassador.

Follow On Tours offer tailor-made travel packages to touring England fans around the world, and are set to launch their first tour this winter. England will tour South Africa and Bangladesh before heading out to Australia for the 150th Anniversary Test in Melbourne. Tourists heading out to Australia with Follow On Tours will have entry to Cricket Australia's pre-match function as part of their trip, featuring former cricketing greats and special guests.

The company is a re-launch of a cricket travel company started by Ian Kerr in 2004. Over 17 years, it became the biggest specialist cricket travel business in the world, taking 1,600 people to South Africa in a single winter.

"I was eighteen, on the hill at the SCG in 1999, and Darren Gough took a hat-trick. That morning is the reason I've done everything I've done since," said Kerr.

Having been the original inspiration for the business, Gough is now a major part of it, having taken a shareholding in it and joined as an ambassador. "Twenty-seven years later he's part of the business I've built. You couldn't write it," said Kerr.

The original tour company was ended by the Covid 19 pandemic, which brought international travel and most international cricket to a halt. The business was sold in 2022.

Four years later, Follow On Tours will head out to South Africa this winter, echoing the first tour Kerr embarked upon as a tour operator in 2004.
