ICC Women's Championship points table

The three-match England-New Zealand series was drawn 1-1. Here’s what the 2025-2029 ICC Women’s Championship table looks like after the series.

England had taken early lead in the three-match ODI series when they won the thriller at Chester-le-Street by one wicket. Stand-in captain Charlie Dean saw England through, with teenage debutant Tilly Corteen-Coleman for company. New Zealand won the toss and opted to field in the second ODI, at Northampton, but rain prevented any play.

In the rain-curtailed decider at Cardiff, Alice Capsey (45 in 45 balls) took England to 181-7 in the allocated 33 overs as Bree Illing returned 2-29 and Rosemary Mair 2-41. Lauren Bell (3-29) then reduced New Zealand to 40-3, but Maddy Green (37 in 43), Brooke Halliday (42 not out in 54), and Issy Gaze (22 not out in 23) took them to 141-4 in 24.4 overs.

Rain prevented further play. New Zealand, ahead of the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern par score at that point, won the game and levelled the series 1-1. In the last ODI of her illustrious career, Suzie Bates bowled two wicketless overs for 11 runs and walked off to a standing ovation after scoring a 15-ball 12.
