Amanjot Kaur not fit?
That's what ex-India international Veda Krishnamurthy says she has heard, on the pre-show for the press conference.
She also say there could be "one or two" surprises.
Is Nandani Sharma in the frame for selection?
The Delhi Capitals pacer was extemely impressive at the WPL, taking 17 wickets.
Nandani made the A team for the Rising Stars Asia Cup, but suffered an injury in her first game – she has yet to feature in a competitive match since then.
Who will be the backup wicketkeeper?
Decisions, decisions.
Yastika Bhatia was Richa Ghosh's understudy in 2024, but she has not played a single T20I for India since then.
Teenager G Kamalini has played just one game, while Uma Chetry has played thrice.
The uncapped Shweta Sehrawat, who kept for UPW this year, could be a rogue shout.
Will Radha Yadav make the squad?
The left-arm spinner won the WPL with RCB, scored 75 runs and took 10 wickets at the Rising Stars Asia Cup, and has been in excellent domestic form.
But with N Shree Charani likely to make the cut as a left-arm spinner, will there be a place for her?

India have been drawn in Group A, alongside the following teams:
- Australia
- Bangladesh
- Netherlands
- Pakistan
- South Africa
How many players have represented India in this cycle?
Twenty-five players have represented India in T20Is since the last T20 World Cup in 2024. Only Singapore have used more players in this time period.
Eight of these players have been debutants. Among the World Cup teams, only defending champions New Zealand (also eight) have handed out as many new caps since then.
Predicted: India's T20 World Cup squad
The final squad will come out in a few hours, but here is what it could potentially look like:
Batters: Jemimah Rodrigues, Harmanpreet Kaur (c), Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Bharti Fulmali.

All-rounders: Deepti Sharma, Arundhati Reddy, Amanjot Kaur, Radha Yadav.
Bowlers: Renuka Singh, N Shree Charani, Kranti Gaud, Shreyanka Patil.

India are coming off a 4-1 loss to South Africa in South Africa.
Before that though, they beat Australia 2-1 Down Under and thumped Sri Lanka 5-0 at home after the ODI World Cup triumph.
Earlier in 2025 they also beat England 3-2, in England.
Could there be some surprise picks?
Nothing out of the ordinary is expected. A couple of bolters could be Kashvee Gautam, Vaishnavi Sharma or Bharti Fulmali, who haven't played much for India.
Pacer Nandani Sharma made the India 'A' team after she took 17 wickets in the WPL, but is yet to receive a senior team call-up at all.
How many changes will there be from the previous group?
There could be quite a few.
Yastika Bhatia, Dayalan Hemalatha, Asha Sobhana and Pooja Vastrakar have not played a single T20I since the last tournament.
N Shree Charani, Amanjot Kaur and Kranti Gaud have emerged as important players in both white-ball formats since then as well, so they could be in contention.
