India will be under a new management, given Rahul Dravid’s appointment as the India coach. The team hasn’t been announced yet, but there is a possibility that some of the big names from the T20 World Cup squad will be rested for this series.

New Zealand have announced their squads for the tour. Trent Boult and Colin de Grandhomme will miss out from the event due to bubble fatigue. Kane Williamson will lead the side for both the series.

India will look to avenge their World Test Championship final defeat to New Zealand, while the Black Caps will seek to create history by winning their first-ever Test series in India. The last Test series between these two sides ended in a 3-0 victory for Virat Kohli-led Indian outfit.

India will also look to make up for their loss to New Zealand in the T20 World Cup, which played a role in their failure to make it to the semi-finals of the tournament. It was the first time that the Men in Blue failed to reach the knockout stage of an ICC event in nine years.

New Zealand have some good spinners, and a decent record in Asian conditions of late. They will look to give India a good challenge on this tour.
