The auction for the second edition of the Kerala Cricket League happened on Saturday (July 5). Here’s the full list of players sold and unsold after the KCL 2025 auction.
More than 170 players registered for the auction, divided into three categories – A, B, and C. An accelerated auction was also implemented.
The six participating teams in this year’s tournament are Aries Kollam Sailors, Alleppey Ripples, Calicut Globstars, Trivandrum Royals, Kochi Blue Tigers and Thrissur Titans.
Teams were allowed to retain a maximum of four players, including no more than three capped players (those who represented India U19, senior domestic competitions, or the IPL). The Right-to-Match (RTM) option was also available. Notably, Kochi Blue Tigers and Thrissur Titans entered the auction with a clean slate, without any retentions.
Who are the most expensive players IN KCL 2025?
Sanju Samson became the tournament's most expensive player after being picked by Kochi Blue Tigers for INR 26.8 lakh, breaking the previous record held by M.S. Akhil, who was bought by Trivandrum Royals for INR 7.4 lakh in last year's inaugural edition. Notably, Samson had skipped the first season despite being announced as its brand ambassador.

Jalaj Saxena (INR 12.4 lakh to Alleppey Ripples), Vishnu Vinod (INR 12.8 lakh to Kollam Sailors), and Basil Thampi (INR 8.40 lakh to Trivandrum Royals) were the other players to break the bank.
