India's Ishan Kishan has become the top-ranked men's T20I batter in the world in the latest ICC rankings.
Ishan Kishan is the new No.1 T20I batter
Despite India’s 0-2 defeat in Ireland, Kishan managed to displace Abhishek Sharma as the top-ranked batter in men’s T20Is. Former India captain Suryakumar Yadav, still active but dropped from the side, lost ratings points and slipped from seventh to eighth. Among bowlers, Varun Chakravarthy and Jasprit Bumrahmissed both games against Ireland, and dropped to third and sixth places respectively. These were the only changes in the top twenty.
Three wickets and 45 runs in the series helped Shivam Dube rise from tenth to seventh place on the list of all-rounders, where Sikandar Raza continues to hold on to the top spot.
