Zimbabwe will host India for three T20Is at the Harare Sports Club, on August 23, 25, and 26, 2026. Having won the T20 World Cup in 2024 without losing a game, India defended their title in 2026.

Between August 2023 and end of the 2026 edition, India had not lost any bilateral series in the format. However, since the 2026 T20 World Cup, they lost 0-2 in Ireland and 0-4 in England. New captain Shreyas Iyer still awaits his first win in the format.

Zimbabwe, too, had an excellent outing at the 2026 T20 World Cup, defeating hosts Sri Lanka and Australia to qualify for the Super Eights.

Over the years, India hold an 11-3 advantage over Zimbabwe, but all three of their defeats have come at the Harare Sports Club, which has hosted 12 of the 14 clashes between the two sides.
