Deepti Sharma rises to No.2 on bowling rankings
The latest rankings reflect Deepti's rise as India's leading spinner in the women’s T20Is against England. Across three matches so far, she has taken six wickets at an average of 14.83 and an economy rate of 8.09. She gained eight points to move into second place in the bowling rankings with a rating of 738, closing in on Pakistan’s Sadia Iqbal (746). Her teammate Arundhati Reddy jumped 11 places to 43rd after her 3-32 performance in the third match at The Oval.
England’s bowlers also made gains following their five-run victory at The Oval, with Issy Wong (up three spots to joint 57th) and Lauren Filer (up 21 places to joint 68th) advancing.
In the batting rankings, Australia’s Beth Mooney continues to lead with a rating of 794. The biggest gainers were England openers Sophia Dunkley and Danni Wyatt, whose match-winning 137-run opening stand at The Oval laid the foundation for England’s first victory in the series. Wyatt climbed three places to 14th after her 42-ball 66, while Dunkley rose four spots to 26th following her 53 off 75 deliveries.
Sophie Ecclestone rose three places to eighth in the all-rounder rankings after her contribution of 35 with the bat in the second match, albeit in a losing cause.
