The final of LLC 2023 is to be played today at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha. The Shahid Afridi-led Asia Lions will lock horns with the Shane Watson-led World Giants in what should be a showdown of stars.
The World Giants were the best team in the league stage, winning three out of their four matches and qualifying directly for the Final, while the Asia Lions won two out of their four and had to play the Eliminator where they beat the India Maharajas to reach the Final.
There’s not much to separate these two teams as they both registered one victory each in their two encounters earlier in the tournament. The Asia Lions will have a score to settle though, as the last time these two teams met in the final of the competition (in the first edition of LLC), the World Giants had come out on top.
