On the second day of the Nepal Premier League 2025, Chitwan Rhinos beat Karnali Yaks and Biratnagar Kings beat Pokhara Avengers: here is the updated NPL 2025 points table after the KAY vs CHR and BIK vs POA games.
In the first match on Monday, November 17, the Kathmandu Gorkhas beat the Janakpur Bolts by five wickets. First, the Gorkhas restricted the Bolts to 130-6, courtesy of Milind Kumar's 3-15. Then, Ben Charlesworth's 23-ball 46 helped them chase the target with two overs to spare.
The second day of the competition, November 18, saw two games. The Chitwan Rhinos beat the Karnali Yaks by four wickets. Ravi Bopara helped them chase down a target of 167 with a 36-ball 52. Bopara also bowled three overs, taking 1-18. His wicket was that of a former India first-class cricketer, who had scored a 48-ball 90.
The second match of the day saw a high-scoring game. Biratnagar Kings, batting first, made 220-6 after Lokesh Bam (72 off 48) and Martin Guptill (61 off 35) hit fifties. The Pokhara Avengers fell well short, being dismissed for 167. Captain Kushal Bhurtel’s 31-ball 59 went in vain. Kings' captain Sandeep Lamichhane picked up 2-18.
NPL 2025: Points table and updated team rankings
Thanks to the 53-run win, the Biratnagar Kings have moved to the top of the points table, receiving a net run-rate boost of +2.650. The Kathmandu Gorkhas (+0.778) and Chitwan Rhinos (+0.622), the other teams with a win, now occupy second and third place, respectively.
