The Sher-e-Punjab T20 Cup has gotten underway from August 30, and will be played till September 13. Here’s how you can hop on to enjoy the live action.
The third edition of the tournament features six new city franchises, namely Amritsar Soormas, Bathinda Royals, Fazilka Falcons, Jalandhar Warriors, Ludhiana Lions and Mohali Kings. This is done to convert the league to a city-based format.
The two previous editions were both won by BLV Blasters, who defeated Trident Stallions and Agri King’s Knights in the two finals.
All the matches are being played at the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. Barring the first and last days, every day is a double-header, with matches starting at 1pm and 7pm local time.
Each franchise entered the auction with a purse of INR 45 lakhs, and had to pick one marquee India player and at least two icon players in order to fill a squad of between 16 and 20 players. Marquee players were listed at INR 10 lakh, while icon players at INR 1.5 lakh.

Fans in India can watch the live broadcast on the Sony Sports Network (Sony Sports 5), while SonyLiv will be the hub for the live streaming. Additionally, the Punjab Cricket Association will also be covering the tournament on their YouTube channel.
