After a hard-fought ODI series, Sri Lanka and Pakistan will face off in a three-match T20I series, starting Friday, July 31. Here’s where to watch the series live across the world.
Sri Lanka came back from 1-0 down to win the three-match ODI series against Pakistan. The two teams will now lock horns in three T20Is, with all the matches scheduled to take place in Dambulla. This is the first T20I bilateral series between the two teams since 2022, and would be their first outings in the format since the T20 World Cup.
Sri Lanka will be hoping to end their 11-year drought against Pakistan in the shortest format after their first-ever ODI series win against their Asian rivals. Sri Lanka last won a bilateral T20I series against Pakistan back in 2015.
Meanwhile, Pakistan will be led by Muneeba Ali in the T20Is, with regular captain Fatima Sana setting off to play in The Hundred. The visitors have picked a new-look squad for this series after an abysmal show in the T20 World Cup, where they won only one out of five matches in the group stage.
As far the head-to-head in T20Is between the two teams is concerned, Pakistan have a slight edge over Sri Lanka, having won 11 of the 21 matches between them. Sri Lanka have emerged victorious in nine matches, while one ended in no result.
The three games are scheduled to be played on July 31, August 2 and 4, with all set to start at 10am local time (5.30am UK time).
