
Watch: Wellington all-rounder Logan van Beek pulled off an incredible outfield catch during a Super Smash game, garnering reactions from several on social media, including Ben Stokes.
The New Zealand-born van Beek who has represented Netherlands in T20Is, was fielding at long-on when Northern Districts’ Brett Hampton launched a delivery from Michael Bracewell towards deep mid-wicket.
Initially, it seemed like that ball would manage to evade both the chasing deep square-leg fielder and van Beek, but the 30-year-old covered some incredible ground. With the ball dipping as it approached the boundary ropes, van Beek dived full-stretch and managed to pluck a one-handed blinder.
Van Beek, who was part of the New Zealand squad in the 2010 U19 World Cup, went on to feature in two T20 World Cup campaigns for Netherlands in 2014 and 2016, playing nine T20Is for the team.
