Australia head coach Justin Langer wasn’t too happy with one of his players “jamming a toasted sandwich in his pocket” to eat on the field during the Test series against India, but a video from the Ryobi Cup one-day game in 2013 shows Nic Maddinson doing the same.
The video, a version of which was posted by cricket.com.au a couple of years back, has resurfaced in light of reports around Justin Langer’s ‘micro-management’ and his unhappiness about a player carrying toasted sandwiches in his pocket onto the field of play.
In the video from a Ryobi Cup 50-over state competition in 2013, Australian player Nic Maddinson is seen pulling a toasted sandwich out of his pocket, eating a part of it between deliveries and then stuffing it back into his pocket.
