The 46th over, bowled by Curran, went for 21 runs with Pandya and Rishabh Pant smacking three sixes between them in the over. A frustrated Curran went well outside off-stump with his last ball of the over, but it went just past the tramline forcing the umpire to call it a wide.

Off the delivery he had to bowl again, Curran beat Pandya’s swish with a slower ball, and immediately engaged the batsman with a few words before turning around. Pandya ran up behind Curran to throw back a few words as the umpire intervened.
