A dramatic final over in the Road Safety World Series match between England and West Indies saw the latter edge into the semi-finals with a win off the final ball of the final over.

Needing five runs to win off the last over, England’s off-spinner James Tredwell restricted Brian Lara and Narsingh Deonarine to four runs after four balls. With one needed to win off two balls, Tredwell had Lara stumped to throw a spanner into the works.

Drama unfolded as Darren Maddy and Phil Mustard engaged in a war of words with new batsman Tino Best before the final delivery. Unflustered, Best knocked the last ball into the leg-side to scamper across for a single and take Windies home.
