
Cricket West Indies and Cricket South Africa have named their respective squads for the upcoming West Indies A v South Africa A series, which runs from May 21 to June 11. Find full details here.
The tour includes three 50-over matches followed by two four-day fixtures, with both sides using the series to test emerging talent and build squad depth ahead of a packed international calendar.
It serves as a development stepping stone for both boards, with several players on the verge of senior selection. It also offers free admission to fans, providing an opportunity to watch some of the region’s and South Africa’s most promising cricketers in action.
Who will play for West Indies A?
West Indies have named three separate squads across the two formats, with Alick Athanaze leading the 50-over side. Wicketkeeper-batter Tevin Imlach and experienced spinner Jomel Warrican will captain the two respective A-Team Tests. Head coach Andre Coley, who previously oversaw the senior men’s side, will guide the team throughout the series.

CSA have named a 16-player squad with Hollywoodbets Dolphins batter Marques Ackerman appointed captain across both formats. Momentum Multiply Titans wicketkeeper Lhuan-dre Pretorius headlines the uncapped players after a stellar domestic season, which included three centuries in five first-class matches and over 300 runs in the 1-Day Cup.
Also earning maiden call-ups are Knights batter Lesego Senokwane, Dolphins paceman Okuhle Cele and Titans off-spinner Schalk Engelbrecht. The squad is rounded out by a strong group of players with Proteas experience including Ruan de Swardt, Bjorn Fortuin, and Sinethemba Qeshile.
