West Indies made it two in two at the Women’s T20 World Cup, edging past Scotland in a close encounter in Leeds. Here’s how the Women’s T20WC points tables look after the game.

Stafanie Taylor rolled back the clock for the West Indies after Scotland had them reduced to 85-5 in 14.3 overs. She slammed a 19-ball 47, featuring four fours and three sixes, peppering the off side with her lofted shots and dragging the side to a fighting 153-6, with 51 of those runs coming off the last four overs.

Scotland came out all guns blazing in the chase, threatening to go all the way following a 51-run opening partnership in five overs. But a double-wicket sixth over from Hayley Matthews turned the tide, with Scotland going from 51-0 to 58-4 within 12 balls.

Darcey Carter played the anchor, holding onto one end, and adding 58 runs for the sixth wicket with Ailsa Lister. But with 22 needed off the last two overs, Carter had to go hard and that led to her downfall, with Aaliyah Alleyne taking three wickets in the 19th over to close out the game. West Indies eventually won by seven runs and moved to second in the Group B table of the Women's T20WC, pushing Scotland to third.
