West Indies won the two-Test series against Sri Lanka 1-0 as the second Test ended in a draw despite the visitors trying to make the match on the final day.
The West Indies registered their first ever series win over Sri Lanka in Tests after 23 years. They had won the first Test by an innings and 217 runs, which was also their second biggest victory in the format at home. A draw in the second Test sealed a series win.
Sri Lanka put in a much-improved performance in the second Test when they piled 549 in the first innings. But the West Indies responded strongly on the back of stunning centuries from Justin Greaves (180) and Shai Hope (112). The hosts recovered from 144-4 to post 499.
Sri Lanka, in a bid to level the series, declared their second innings at 251-9, setting a target of 302 in 60-odd overs. However, the home openers, John Campbell and Brandon King, declined the challenge: they batted out 40 overs unscathed while rain also played its role for the match to end in a tame draw.

The West Indies have drawn level Sri Lanka in terms of points but remain in eighth place with a PCT of 16.67 after playing 10 Tests. Sri Lanka, on the other hand, are sixth, having played four Test matches. They have a PCT of 41.67.
