When will the ZIM vs NZ 2025 Tests be played?
This is the first time the two sides will play a Test since 2016, when New Zealand won 2-0. ZIM vs NZ 2025 Tests: Team news
For Zimbabwe, Ben Curran and Brian Bennett have returned from injury layoffs. Meanwhile, Takudzwanashe Kaitano, Prince Masvaure, Wessly Madhevere, and Kundai Matigimu have been left out. In a major update, veteran Brendan Taylor, whose three-and-a-half-year ban for breaching the ICC's anti-corruption code ended on July 25, could reportedly be added to the Test squad.
New Zealand have handed fast bowler Matt Fisher his maiden call-up. He will bolster the pace department, which includes Nathan Smith, Will O’Rourke, and Jacob Duffy. Ben Sears, meanwhile, was not selected as he recovers from a side injury.
Kane Williamson and Kyle Jamieson have made themselves available, while Michael Bracewell has been added as a replacement for the injured Glenn Phillips in the first Test. This marks Bracewell’s return to the red-ball squad for the first time since 2023.
