In this quiz, you have to name all the bowlers who have registered a hat-trick in men’s ODI cricket. Can you?
Till date, there have been 52 occasions when bowlers have struck thrice in as many deliveries in one-dayers. The list largely comprises Sri Lanka and Pakistan bowlers, who collectively make up for 19 of those.
One Sri Lankan took as many as three ODI hat-tricks, of which one consisted of four wickets in four balls, coming in a 2007 World Cup match against South Africa. In total, only 11 players have taken an ODI World Cup hat-trick. The most recent two were taken by an Indian seamer and a New Zealand seamer in the 2019 edition. The World Cup list features only two spinners: a Pakistani who is the inventor of the "doosra" and a South African.
