The 18th IPL final kicked off on June 3, 2025 between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings. Only two players have faced the first ball of an IPL final more than once: unsurprisingly, they belong to the two most successful IPL teams.

2025 is the first edition where an RCB batter faced the first ball of an IPL final. Among the 16 different batters who have had the privilege of facing the first ball of an IPL final, eight are Indians, four Australians, two West Indians, one South African, and one Englishman.
