In this quiz, you have to name every player to captain West Indies in the 21st century.

Once a dominant force in world cricket, West Indies are currently searching for their best form, particularly in the longer formats, across the men's and women's teams. A new low came earlier this year, as the women's side failed to qualify for the 2025 World Cup, following the men missing out on the 2023 tournament.

Yesterday (May 16), a new captain was named for the men's Test team, making a comeback to the side after over two years. He has led them in white-ball cricket before, though.

Quiz! The players Shane Warne dismissed the most in Test cricket

Overall, since the turn of the century, 25 men and 13 women have led the West Indies in international cricket. Five of them (three men and two women) have led in over 100 matches across formats. The player at the top captained in 147 matches between 2009 and 2019.

Some of the names here will be simple to guess, but others will be rather more difficult – particularly the seven players who have led in just one match each.

Nevertheless, how many of the 38 in total can you get right? You have seven minutes' time, and to help you out the span (in years) of their captaincy is provided, along with the number of matches in which they captained. Good luck!
