In this quiz, you need to name the players who have been dismissed for 99 or 199 in men's Tests since the turn of the century.

Until the 1901/02 Ashes, no batter had been dismissed between 97 and 99 in Test cricket. Then, in the Melbourne Test of that series, Clem Hill became the first to be dismissed for 99. He was not done, for he followed it with scores of 98 and 97 in his next two innings. Four seasons ago at Sydney, Hill was the first Test batter to fall for 96 as well.

Not everyone’s careers were as remarkable (or unfortunate) as Hill’s, but there have been 89 instances of batters being dismissed for 99 in Test cricket along with 12 instances of 199 and a 299 (and a 299 not out).

In the 21st century, batters have fallen for 99 a total of 33 times, while there have been seven 199s (but no 299). There are some repeat entries (multiple 99s or the same batter making both 99 and 199).
