In 2018, one Zair Riaz hit three consecutive half-centuries for the Karachi Grammar School in the Bilal Bhaty tournament in Pakistan. Riaz is yet to make it big in cricket, but remains a rare instance of a cricketer with a palindromic full name to make it to cricketing headlines. There is also the Glenelg Cricket Club, a palindrome that – over the years – has boasted of the Chappell brothers, Joel Garner, Michael Bevan, Shane Warne, Monty Panesar, and Alex Carey.

Don Bradman’s Test aggregate (6996), Chris Gayle’s highest Test score and subsequent shirt number (333), and Amelia Kerr’s world record in women’s ODIs (232) are some of many palindromic cricket scores. The list is long and varied.
