Mohammad Nabi son

During an Ahmad Shah Abdali game, Hassan Eisakhil of the Hindukush Strikers hit a hundred on first-class debut, against the Maiwand Champions.

The son of Mohammad Nabi, Eisakhil was one of two debutants for Hindukush in the game, along with teammate Aqil Khan. Eisakhil has been in the news for some time.

In 2023, he hit a 32-ball fifty against the India Under-19s. He was part of Afghanistan’s squad in the 2024 U19 World Cup. In 2024, he hit a 45-ball 150 in a T20 match. Earlier this year, Nabi confessed that it was his dream to play alongside his son.

Hindukush went to stumps on the second day at 29-0. On the third day, Eisakhil raced to his hundred off 124 balls before being first out for 105, yet again to Zia-ur-Rehman. By then, he and Noori had put on 168 for the opening stand.

In doing this, Eisakhil outdid his father’s maiden first-class hundred - 102 against a Zimbabwe XI in an Inter-Continental Cup match in 2009. Nabi’s other first-class hundred, 117 against the UAE, came in 2011.

Once Noori fell eight short of a hundred, Zia-ur-Rehman inched towards his second five-wicket haul as Hindukush slipped from 239-2 to 250-5. At the time of writing, they were 306-5 with Ikram Alikhil (32) and Bilal (32) at the crease.
