The 17th edition of the Asia Cup will start on September 9. Here is the full list of commentators and presenters for the coverage of Asia Cup 2025.
When and where will the Asia Cup 2025 be played?
A total of 12 group matches will be played from September 9 to 19 among the eight participants, who are divided into two groups. These will be followed by six matches in the Super Four stage between September 20 and 26. The final between the top two teams will be played on September 28. India are the hosts, but the matches will be played in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. This comes after the tournament was left in limbo following the India-Pakistan armed conflict in May. In a last-minute change, the match timings have been pushed back by 30 minutes.
Afghanistan's voice to make Asia Cup commentary debut
The tournament will be broadcast in multiple languages, including English and Indian regional languages such as Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. In a first for the event, Afghanistan will also have representation in the commentary box with Ahmad Farhad Fidai. A medical graduate now based in the USA, Farhad has previous commentary experience, but this will be his first role at a major multinational tournament.
"It will be an honour," Farhad told Cricbuzz. "I have done commentary for Afghanistan in bilateral matches, but this will be my first time in a major championship like the Asia Cup. I am excited to share the mic with legends like Sunil Gavaskar. I've met him once, but never had the chance to share the commentary box."
