Asia Cup 2025: What is the schedule and format?
Eight teams are featuring in the tournament, divided into two groups of four each. Group A has India, Pakistan, Oman, and UAE, while Group B has Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, and Sri Lanka.
The first round starts on Tuesday (September 9), and will see each team face each other in the same group once. The first round will end on September 19, followed by the top two sides from both groups playing another single round-robin round named Super Fours between September 20-26. The final will then be held between the top two sides on September 28.
Asia Cup 2025 squads: Team news and injury updates
All eight Asia Cup squads have been announced. India, the defending champions, will be led by Suryakumar Yadav with Shubman Gill as deputy. Pakistan, coming off a tri-series victory in the UAE, will have Salman Agha as their leader, while Rashid Khan and Charith Asalanka will captain Afghanistan and Sri Lanka respectively.
Bangladesh, UAE, Oman, and Hong Kong will be led by Litton Das, Muhammad Waseem, Jatinder Singh, and Yasim Murtaza respectively.
