India's players celebrate after taking the wicket of Pakistan's Mohammad Haris during the Asia Cup 2025 Twenty20 international cricket match between India and Pakistan at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai on September 14, 2025

India won their second Asia Cup 2025 match in a row by beating Pakistan comprehensively on Sunday (September 14): here's the updated Asia Cup points table after the result.

Batting first, Pakistan had a horrid start, losing Saim Ayub for his second consecutive golden duck. They lost No.3 Mohammad Haris (3) quickly as well, sliding to 6-2. That could have been 6-3 had Fakhar Zaman’s lbw call not been overturned upon review. Zaman was eventually dismissed in the eighth over for 17 off 15, setting off a collapse that took Pakistan from 45-2 to 83-7.

Sahibzada Farhan was the top-scorer with a 44-ball 40, but it was Shaheen Afridi’s 16-ball 33 not out from No.9 that allowed Pakistan something to bowl at, setting a target of 128 for India. Kuldeep Yadav was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3-18.

India’s chase was a cakewalk, as they gunned the total down with seven wickets and 25 balls remaining. Suryakumar Yadav led India's response with an unbeaten 47 off 37 balls. None of the Pakistan frontline bowlers could take a wicket, but Ayub bounced back from his batting failure with 3-35.
