India won their second Asia Cup 2025 match in a row by beating Pakistan comprehensively on Sunday (September 14): here's the updated Asia Cup points table after the result.
Batting first, Pakistan had a horrid start, losing Saim Ayub for his second consecutive golden duck. They lost No.3 Mohammad Haris (3) quickly as well, sliding to 6-2. That could have been 6-3 had Fakhar Zaman’s lbw call not been overturned upon review. Zaman was eventually dismissed in the eighth over for 17 off 15, setting off a collapse that took Pakistan from 45-2 to 83-7.
Sahibzada Farhan was the top-scorer with a 44-ball 40, but it was Shaheen Afridi’s 16-ball 33 not out from No.9 that allowed Pakistan something to bowl at, setting a target of 128 for India. Kuldeep Yadav was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3-18.
