India's Arshdeep Singh set a new record among quicks, becoming the fastest to reach 100 T20I wickets, against Oman during their Asia Cup 2025 fixture.
Arshdeep became the fastest among quicks, and the fourth-fastest overall, to reach the milestone of 100 T20I wickets. He picked up the wicket of Vinayak Shukla during Oman's chase, where they fell short of India's target of 189 by 21 runs.
Arshdeep becomes first Indian to 100 men's T20I wickets
In the process, he became the first Indian bowler to reach 100 men's T20I wickets. The next best is Yuzvendra Chahal, with 96 wickets, tied with Hardik Pandya. Jasprit Bumrah is currently third at 92.
Arshdeep wasn't picked for the first two games of India's Asia Cup campaign, returning to open the bowling alongside Pandya against Oman. He finished with figures of 1-37.
He took just three years and 74 days to reach the landmark: with 64 matches, he only sits behind Rashid Khan, Sandeep Lamichhane and Wanindu Hasaranga, all spinners.
