India face Pakistan in a high-voltage Group A clash of the Asia Cup 2025 on Sunday (September 14)

India face Pakistan in a high-voltage Group A clash of the Asia Cup 2025 on Sunday (September 14). Here’s how the two teams have fared in the tournament.

India and Pakistan have a long history of intense rivalry. However, due to geopolitical tensions between the two nations, they no longer play bilateral series. Their last such series was in 2012-13 when Pakistan toured India, drawing the T20I series 1-1 and winning the subsequent ODI series 2-1.

Since then, they have met in 20 matches across Asia Cups, ODI and T20 World Cups, and Champions Trophy events, with India winning 15 of those encounters. India are unbeaten in the last six matches against their rivals, including a washout in the 2023 Asia Cup. Pakistan's last win came in the 2022 Asia Cup in Dubai, the same venue that is set to host Sunday’s match.
